Q&A: Is cocoa mulch dangerous to dogs?

Qaquestionmark We're considering using cocoa mulch around our entire property but read online that this stuff could toxic to our dog. Any truth to those stories?

I have a friend whose family used Cocoa mulch for their garden recently, and his dog ate a bunch of it. Their dog died the next day. I wouldn't use it.
