I recently bought a 21 piece cookware set at JC Pennys in Roanoke VA MADE BY PHILLIPE RICHARD. This is the worst cookware set I have ever bought. No matter how low of temp I use they stick and burn. I have not received either of the rebates that I have submitted and the mfr. website says that they have no record of my rebate. I am ready to box the full set of junk and take it back for a refund and I will not make the mistake of buying their products again.

I also purchased the Philppe Richard 21-piece cookware set and haven't received the $40 rebate. Every time I call the rebate center they give me a song and dance about how I have to call back at a later time. I think they have no intentions of honoring our rebate requests. I just spoke with the folks at the local JcPenney store where I purchased the set of pans; someone is going to make right this situation before I let this matter get swept under the rug.

Dear friends,
I had the same experience with JC Penny. I bought a $30 pyrex set on BF, with $20 mail in rebate. Its been months, I have not recieved anything. I got several mail in rebate which i purchased from Linen and things and Bed and bath the same day!! My 3 other friends also bought pyrex set, and they didnt get either!
Please do not attract any mail and rebate deals from jc penny. Have you ever notice that there is not contact way like emails of phone number in that rebate form. So you cant even check your status of the rebate. Jc penny has to protect the customers . My friend asked Jcpenny regarding this and they said they dont know anything about rebates...
I never ever gonna buy any rebate item from this store!!!
Good luck!
Veetil

Alas, unfortunately looks like we are all in the same "pot" regarding the JC Penneys / Philippe Richard cookware set. Some of the utensils were broken, right out of the box, the non-stick surface is a joke. I bought some very very cheap pots and pans at a dollar store that perform better than this. Oh, and as far as the customer service center? Another joke...their system is always down, nobody calls back, can never get through. Guess we are out of our $20 rebate....which was the ONLY reason we bought this...if we are still able to return, please advise. Thanks

I purchased the 31-piece cutlery set AND the 21-piece cookware set by Philippe Richard at JCPENNEY and mailed my rebate forms in November...It is now March and I have received NOTHING. Because I KNOW that JCPenney has this transaction on file, if they do not honor my rebate I will also be bringing my crap cookware back. The cutlery isn't bad, but isn't GREAT, either. Those of you wondering about this brand, STAY AWAY!

i bought the same pans on black friday and no rebate yet i cant find a number to reach the company

Yes, my dear friends I have also made a terrible mistake of purchasing a 18 piece pyrex set on black friday with an assumed $20 rebate. I agree with all of you in terms of no response to rebates. It's totally irresponsible on Jcpenny's part not to give better customer service. I know for sure that I will not be making any future purchases with this store.
Good Luck to all,
Noreen

The smart thing to do here would be to contact the companies in regards to your rebates. Most of them do state that it takes 8-12 business weeks to process and this does not include weekends or holidays and there were alot in those weeks. If you have never worked in Customer Service then you should not be complaining. The rebate information is listed right on their coupons so if you dont follow the directions then you dont get the rebate. I personally do not purchase products with rebates as there are to many stipulations. It is not the stores responsibility to fill you in with this information they just provide the product and the form they dont get training on the rebates.

Hi, I am trying to purchase a new set of steak knives but am
totally confused. I have no idea which of the manufactures take their time and put some quality time of the wood handle and the cutting blade. My old set of knives has to be sharpened each time I want to use them for serious cutting.
I want to stay under a hundred dollars for a set of 4 or 5, I am retired and have to watch what I am buying.
Thanks Much, Richard

I bought the 15pc nonstick Phillipe Richard cookware set from JCPenney back in May. It has literally been no more than 4 months and the cookware is a mess! the "nonstick" is a joke, ALL of my pots were rusted within the 2nd month I bought them. This is my first cookware I bought and it seems like we are eating rust when I cook out of them. Not only was this set a waste of money but it has to be hazardous to your health also. PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! I still have yet to recieve my rebates and I cant find a number where I can reach them to see if the pots are under a warranty. I would strongly recommend staying away from this pot set!!

I bought the 21 pc. Phillipe Richard cookware set back in November as a Christmas present for my daughter. The non-stick coating has been coming off since a couple months after Christmas and are rusting underneath those spots. She sent me pictures today and I am sending the pictures on to Rubi Rojo at rubir@ttucorp.com. He said that they stand behind their warranty. We will see. I never received the $20 rebate either. After I emailed them, they said that they couldn't process my rebate because the bottom of my receipt was torn off. I will try to get another receipt from JCPenney's but I doubt if I can. JCPenney's needs to understand what junk this product is and discontinue selling it. What a ripoff!! I will never buy this brand again.

I bought the Black & Decker family size grill from Target ($25 not $19) with the bun warmer. I cannot cook bacon on it without it burning. Contacted Black & Decker with no results so far. The griddle has uneven cooking and a large temperature swing. Bacon just lies there for a while and the next thing it is just sizzling away, then back to nothing. I am looking for a better griddle.
