Some kitchen humor
Most of us can identify with the situation in the recent "Rhymes With Orange" comic strip shown below. Whether you've melted a bag of bread with your toaster oven, chewed up a utensil in the garbage disposer, or caused sparks in the microwave by reheating food wrapped in foil, you know that kitchen goofs are common.
When I read this comic strip by the witty, dry Hilary Price, I recalled "tattooing" a new toaster oven with a plastic bag of pita bread. I stupidly left the bag on top of the oven and by the time I smelled the melting plastic, the damage was done. That stainless steel never looked the same.—Steven H. Saltzman
