Pricing: 2009 Nissan Cube

2009-Nissan-Cube-pricingNissan has announced pricing for its boxy Cube wagon, which will start at $13,990. Pricing for the 1.8S and 1.8SL trim levels was not disclosed. All models will use a 122-hp, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine.

The Cube will hold five passengers, with a generous amount of interior room and good fuel economy -- Nissan claims over 30 mpg on the highway. Much like the youth-targeted Scion vehicles, the Cube can be personalized through the local dealer with more than 40 individual accessories such as a 20-color interior illumination kit and “shag carpeting” instrument panel inserts, aerodynamic body kits, and custom 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.

The Cube has been sold in Japan for 10 years; the latest version will hit U.S. dealerships in early May. Nissan has announced a reservation program that will begin later this month after the full line and option pricing is released.

Update 2/12: Nissan introduced the Krom special-edition Cube at the 2009 Chicago Auto Show.

I really dig this car and the price seems to be right. I just wish it had more horsepower. 122 is ok for driving around town but would love to see one with a small turbo engine.

I love the styling of this car as it reminds me of a larger more useful Smart Car, which I also love. It's a funky car that should fit in well with Urban lifestyles. I'm looking forward for my chance to drive one soon.

plan on getting one next month. Can't wait. My wife and I and our two kids (8 months and 2 years) went and test drove one. I am 6 feet 1 inch and weigh..well, I am not small. plus my wife and our two kids car seats fit easily into the cube with room to spare. I currently drive an awful dodge durango, the cube had more seating space than my Durango. Amazing, can't wait. and, I love the 6 speed stick shift, awesome!

It is a daring project, 2009 Nissan Cube 1.8 SL is a funny car and in my opinion very sexy car. I congratulate the designer.
The price for is $ 22,780.
