2008 SEMA - New GPS - Motorola Motonav TN20, TN30

Motorolamotornavtn30gps Motorola is the latest manufacturer to enter the portable GPS navigation market, with two new devices sold only through RadioShack stores. Both feature spoken street names and lane guidance to help drivers choose the correct lane in major intersections. At a SEMA show in-car demo, we liked the clear graphics, and ease of use seemed like a strong suit.

The Motonav TN20 has a 3.5-inch touch screen, a POI (point of interest) menu of more than one million gas stations, restaurants, and other destinations, and it includes preloaded maps of the continental United States. An SD slot enables loading of optional additional maps.

The Motonav TN30 adds Bluetooth capability for hands-free calls, a 4.3-inch wide screen display, preloaded maps of Canada and Puerto Rico in addition to the U.S., and a POI menu with more than four million destinations.

Both are in stores now. The TN20 is priced at $199.99, and the TN30 at $299.99. We plan to test these units in the future.
