Average gas prices—November 24, 2008
Gasoline and diesel prices continue to drop from the week before. The national gasoline average is now more than a $1.20 below the price this time last year. Diesel fuel is now 78 cents below this time last year.

After reading blog comments peppered with expressions and terms like "no end in sight" and "skyrocketing" that accompanied the summer run-up in price, I would have thought you'd be adding terms like "unprecedented", "free fall", and "extraordinary" to describe the recent decline of prices. This is a period of uncharted economic turbulence yet I sense a great deal of restraint on the part of the gas bloggers.

Cale - I understand. And I'm glad you faithfully read these postings! I have been at a loss for words and a little afraid of jixing the trend. ;-)
