With gas prices down sharply, it will be interesting to see the new math when comparing hybrids (currently sold at MSRP and above) and traditional fuel efficient cars. I'll bet the pay off for current Prius buyers isn't as certain.

I am so encouraged to see the price of gas fall! Hopefully this trend will continue.

i have often wondered what whappens to the gasoline that is in the hose, so it's left the pump, but it doesn't come through the pump handle and into your tank. do you pay for that gas but don't get it? where does the gas register?? is it when it leaves the pump BEFORE it goes into the hose or is it once it actually leaves the handle and goes into your car?? if it's after the pump before the handle how much gas do we as consumers lose per year??

can someone explain to me why the gas stations increase their pump prices at the hint of oil going up a barrel and run to their marquee raising the price. THen when the barrel goes down you see a trickle of a decline. Their response is they bought the gas in their gas station tanks at a higher price so they have to continue charging more, but then when this gas is clearly used up the prices don't go down. mmmmmmmmmmm a racket at best.
