Video review - Nissan Altima
As we found in our recent family sedan tests, the Altima 3.5 SE V6 and the four-cylinder Altima 2.5 S are relatively refined. Both are coupled to a smooth continuously variable transmission, which helps them attain commendable fuel economy. (A hybrid model has just gone on sale.) In our testing, the Altima had good ride and handling, although the sportier 3.5 SE was stiff. At $31,995, our 3.5 SE had options such as heated leather seats, a backup camera, bi-xenon headlights, and a navigation system. Despite its hefty price, our tested car didn’t have optional stability control. At $22,705, our 2.5 S came with antilock brakes and a power driver’s seat as options.

I hope the Altimas are better than the 05s, I have had my car in four times for the crank shift sensor recall, two fuel pumps replaced, the back brakes and rotors went at 42,000 miles. There are many more complaints like I have had all over the internet regarding the Altimas and they were not just for the 05 models 06, 07 and 08. It is hard to give a real review of the vehicle until a consumer has had it and things start to go wrong, the starting issue with the car started at 12,000 miles.

Oh, I forgot I had to replace the tires all the way around after the first year and I put the same tires on the car again, a year later the car was at Nissan for service and I needed tires all the way around again, the service manager said oh Nissan put really cheap tires on the car, you should have never replaced them with the same brand....... go figure......
