Gas prices are not controled by a capitalist market. The gas companys are not fighting to have the lowest price but rather see how high they can get away with. Gas is not really a choice anymore than electricty. We need electric in are homes to survive. Same as we need gas to survive no matter what the price we will contiue to buy it and they know it. We will try to cut back but we still have to have it and then the gas companys sit back and brag about how much profit they are making. It makes me sick. Meanwhile that extra cost while the gas companys get fat is shared by everyone. Whether you buy gas or not everything you buy cost just a little more. Who is gainning from this not the retailers, but the gas companies. I think the government should step in and control the prices. If only I could trust the govrnment.

The price of gas must stay low if we want the economy to continue to do well. Beware of the party that clams to want to help the poor but keeps coming up with new tax ideas to hurt them. The latest Clinton idea would add $0.50 a gallon to the price of gas. Making it harder for the poor to get to work and buy food and other things that would increase with transportation cost.
