From the key rings of Saturn

Saturn_aura_chevy_keys We just bought two Saturn Auras: a lightly-equipped XE with the 3.5-liter V6 engine and a loaded 3.6-liter V6 XR. The XR has a funky "Morocco" brown leather interior similar to that in the well-received Aura concept car. Some think it's smashing (including the engineer who sought out this so-equipped Aura), while others say it reminds them of baby poo.

Our XR came with another unique feature, as pointed out by a cheerful Saturn saleswoman. She was considerably embarrassed by this gaffe given that Consumer Reports was buying the car: one of the keys had a Chevrolet logo on it. Oops!

The key works fine, but given that the Saturn brand is supposed to appeal to shoppers who wouldn't set foot in a "traditional" domestic brand showroom, it's a bit of a faux pas.

We'll have tests of both Auras, along with several other newly-designed sedans, early next year.
