Consumer Reports' Auto Test Blog

2_10_06_intro We’re back. We had so much fun doing the blog from the 2006 Los Angeles and Detroit auto shows that we decided to keep this blog train rolling. Our new "Notes from the test track" blog will give you an exclusive look at the day-to-day news and activities at CR’s Auto Test Center, as well as automotive insights into important consumer topics.

Look for this space to tell you what new models have joined our test fleet and our first impressions – remember, we’re the only auto reviewers that buy our own test vehicles. We’ll include photos and videos of the cars being put through their paces at our 327-acre test center  in East Haddam, CT., and log-book comments and anecdotal experiences with vehicles as they’re being tested. We’ll also let you know what happens to vehicles after we publish our story. For example, check back soon to find out which critical components failed on our Mercedes-Benz ML 350 and Jeep Grand Cherokee.

We’ll have even more blog-exclusive automotive content here soon. We know you have a keen interest in all-things-automotive, so we’ll work hard to fill this space with interesting and humor-filled adventures about what we do here in the world of CR cars.
